Thailand flash floods' death toll rises to 25

BANGKOK, 3rd December, 2024 (WAM) -- Thousands of people have been displaced by torrential floodwaters that slammed into southern Thailand, where the death toll has risen to 25, officials said on Tuesday.

Flooding since 22nd November has affected more than 660,000 homes in the kingdom’s south, the country’s disaster agency said on its Facebook page.

According to AFP, more than 22,000 people have been displaced from their homes due to flooding in Pattani, Narathiwat, Songkhla and Yala provinces, the Thai government’s public relations department said on Monday.
