ABU DHABI,7th December, 2024 (WAM) – Lando Norris ended the opening day of action at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on top, leading the way from Oscar Piastri and Nico Hulkenberg in a busy second practice session as McLaren established themselves as the team to beat.
After six rookie drivers took part in the first practice session of the weekend, the drivers of 2024 were back together again as Piastri, Carlos Sainz, Max Verstappen, Lance Stroll, Yuki Tsunoda and Alex Albon returned to the fray.
With the sun beginning to set at the Yas Marina Circuit, the grid took to the track for what would be the most representative session ahead of Sunday’s 58-lap race, which is set to take place at the same time in the early evening.
