HONG KONG, 12th December, 2024 (WAM) -- The Executive Council of the Asian Racing Federation (ARF) has chosen the UAE to represent the Federation in the Horse Welfare Committee of the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA).
This came during the meeting of the ARF Executive Council in Hong Kong, with the participation of the UAE delegation headed by Mohammad Saeed Al Shehhi, General Manager and Board Member of the Emirates Racing Authority and Vice-Chair of the Asian Racing Federation.
During its meeting, the ARF Executive Council reviewed enhancing horse welfare and safety practices, improving the standards of organising races in the Asian continent, and the importance of developing the infrastructure for racing, in addition to boosting cooperation between members to achieve sustainable goals.
