FUJAIRAH,13th December, 2024 (WAM) -- The Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry discussed ways to enhance and develop economic and commercial relations with the Belarus Chamber of Commerce, and to establish a strategic business partnership that serves the interests of the business communities of both sides.
This came during a meeting between Sheikh Saeed bin Srour Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Chamber's Board of Directors, and Aliaksei Zhaldybin, Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Dubai.
Sheikh Saeed Al Sharqi emphasised the Fujairah Chamber's commitment to developing economic and commercial relations between business owners in Fujairah and Belarus, as well as the potential for establishing investment partnerships between the two business communities.
Sultan Al Hindasi, Director General of Fujairah Chamber, highlighted the investment advantages in Fujairah, especially in sectors such as oil storage, ship fuelling, logistics services, industry, and tourism.
He stated that the Chamber can provide available facilities to Belarusian businessmen interested in entering the Fujairah market, in line with its strategic goals of supporting business growth and creating a stimulating environment to attract more investments in various industrial and commercial sectors.
On his part, the Consul General of Belarus said that his country’s Chamber of Commerce seeks to strengthen relations with business owners in Fujairah and sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to further enhance ties between the two sides. He also provided an overview of his country's economic sectors, which include industry, agriculture, construction, trade, transport, and information and communications technology.
The two sides agreed to sign the MoU between the Fujairah Chamber and the Belarus Chamber at a later date.
