SHARJAH, 14th December, 2024 (WAM) -- Sharjah Charity International (SCI) reported that the housing assistance provided to eligible recipients during the first nine months of 2024 exceeded AED 16.2 million, benefiting 1,794 underprivileged families whose aid requests were approved.
This assistance included help for those struggling to pay overdue rent and utility bills, as well as the renovation and maintenance of dilapidated homes for needy families.
Mohammed Rashid bin Biyat, Vice Chairman of SCI's Board of Directors, indicate that the housing assistance is part of targeted aid programmes aimed at providing a decent life for underprivileged families, ensuring their stability, family reunification, and strengthening community ties.
