Federal Geographic Information Centre, Department of Government Enablement sign MoU

ABU DHABI, 28th April, 2025 (WAM) -- Federal Geographic Information Centre (FGIC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Government Enablement in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

This agreement marks a significant milestone in enhancing cooperation between the two entities through the exchange of expertise and the development of joint initiatives in areas of mutual geospatial interest.

The MoU aims to optimise the use of geospatial data by both parties to better support government projects and initiatives. It underscores the shared commitment to developing innovative, data-driven solutions that improve public sector performance and contribute to achieving sustainable development goals across the UAE.

Furthermore, the MoU establishes a platform for the exchange of knowledge, technical expertise, and advanced technologies. It also aims to foster the integration of spatial data and analytics into government planning, operations, and service delivery.

Hamed Khamis Al Kaabi, Director-General of the Federal Geographic Information Centre, commented, “The signing of this memorandum is a pivotal step in reinforcing collaboration with government partners across the country.
