Dubai hosts 21st Emirates Critical Care Conference, 2nd edition of WFICC on May 9

DUBAI, 2nd May, 2025 (WAM) -- Dubai will host the 21st Emirates Critical Care Conference from 9th to 11th May at the Intercontinental Festival City Hotel, in conjunction with the 2nd World Summit of the World Federation of Intensive and Critical Care (WFICC), and several affiliated global events.

The multi-conference platform also includes the 16th Asia Africa Conference of the World Federation of Intensive and Critical Care, the 7th Global Network for Emergency Medicine, the 7th Emirates Nursing Association Critical Care Chapter Conference, the 20th World Federation of Critical Care Nurses Congress, and the 21st International Pan Arab Critical Care Medicine Society Conference.

The event is endorsed by over 35 scientific societies and will host more than 2,000 medical and nursing professionals from 45 countries. It will spotlight advances in artificial respiration, critical care drugs and the latest scientific findings in intensive care.

Prof. Dr Hussein Al Rahma, Founding President of the Emirates Critical Care Conference and Chairperson of the event, said the summit aims to unite leading experts from across the globe to share knowledge, research, and innovations in critical care.

The conference features 275 speakers, including 130 international, 65 regional and 80 local experts. Over three days, 381 lectures will be presented in 77 scientific sessions, along with four workshops, four training courses, 131 research papers, and six industry seminars. Strategic agreements with international institutions will also be signed during the event.

Dr Al Rahma underscored the importance of the scientific discussions, which will present evidence-based best practices developed since the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition, 34 local and international companies specialising in critical care equipment and ventilation technology will exhibit the latest innovations.

Topics to be covered include septicemia, infection control, fluid therapy, nephrology, artificial ventilation, acute respiratory distress syndrome, trauma, anaesthesia, cardiology, nutrition, geriatrics, CPR and infection surveillance.
