NEW DELHI, 10th May, 2025 (WAM) – Military exchanges and firing between India and Pakistan have ended at 5 pm Indian time (3:30 pm UAE time) on 10th May.
India’s Minister for External Affairs, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, said “India and Pakistan have today worked out an understanding on stoppage of firing and military action.”
Simultaneously, India’s Foreign Secretary, Vikram Misri explained in a media briefing that the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMO) of India and Pakistan spoke on a hotline this afternoon and agreed that both sides would stop all firing and military action on land, air and sea with immediate effect.
He said the DGMOs have given respective instructions to both sides to implement this decision.
The two DGMOs will meet again on 12th May to review the end of military operations as decided.
