World Police Summit Awards 2025 celebrate global law enforcement excellence in 12 categories

DUBAI, 16th May 2025 (WAM) – Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, honoured the winners of the fourth edition of the World Police Summit Awards during a prestigious gala dinner attended by senior law enforcement delegations from around the world.

Also present were Dr. Major General Ahmad Zaal bin Kreshan Al Muhairi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for the Administrative and Financial Affairs Sector, and Major General Harib Muhamamd Al Shamsi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for the Criminal Investigation Sector.

Lieutenant General Al Marri recognised outstanding police professionals, experts, and agencies whose efforts significantly contribute to enhancing global and local security. He also praised the high calibre of submissions, noting that the 2025 edition received over 900 entries from across the globe; a reflection of the growing international engagement with the Summit.

Accompanied by Brigadier Dr. Saleh Al Hammrani, Deputy Director of the General Department of Excellence and Pioneering, and Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Rashid Al Ghaffari, Deputy Director of the General Department of Forensic Science and Criminology for Administrative Affairs and Secretary General of the Summit, Al Marri presented awards across 12 categories:

• Excellence in Criminal Investigation: SDPO Sargodha City Police Station, Pakistan
• Excellence in Anti-Narcotics: Hyderabad Police, India, for the Narcotics Control Wing Project
• Best Innovation in Policing and Security: Hong Kong Police Force for the “Rescue” Project
• Start-Up Innovation Award: CATT Labs, United States
• Excellence in Police Customer Service: Italy’s Postal Police Cybersecurity Unit for the “Hacker Tracking” Project
• Excellence in Forensics and Criminology: European Forensics Institute, Malta
• Excellence in Road Safety: Global Road Safety Partnership, Switzerland, for its Police Executive Leadership Programme
• Best Use of AI in Policing: Secretariat of Public Safety, Chihuahua State, Mexico, for the Sentinela Security Platform
• Best Police App: Ethiopian Federal Police, for its “Citizen Engagement” App
• Most Inspirational Female Officer: Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Mariam Darwish Al Hashmi, Fujairah Police, UAE
• Best Community Contribution in Policing: Clara Magalhães Martins (Ukraine–Brazil), for the “Robin Hood” Project
• Excellence in Policing for People of Determination: Adele Gesu, Deputy Director of Road Police Operations, Italy.

After the ceremony, Lieutenant General Al Marri also honoured Abdulrahman Al Marzouqi, the winner of the International AI Challenge, along with partners and sponsors whose efforts contributed to the success of the 2025 World Police Summit.
