Emirates Food Industries showcases production model at 'Make it in the Emirates'

ABU DHABI, 21st May, 2025 (WAM) -- Emirates Food Industries (EFI) presented its integrated production system at the “Make it in the Emirates”, emphasising its role in national food security. The company operates a complete supply chain from animal feed to dairy products.

EFI is developing new facilities at Khalifa Port as part of a national food security initiative. These include a group of factories and a silo project aimed at expanding production capacity.

Speaking to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Kholoud Al Nuaimi, Senior Business Excellence Manager at Emirates Food Industries at EFI, said the company operates through a fully integrated production cycle covering preparation, packaging, and distribution. EFI’s products reach over 31 locations across the UAE and are also exported to French companies serving the US market.

Operating from two main facilities in Abu Dhabi and Jebel Ali, EFI produces a wide range of livestock feed for cows and sheep, using imported raw materials but carrying out all production processes domestically.

She added that annual output is approximately 7,000 tonnes, covering around 380 feed types for cows and sheep. All packaging is manufactured locally at National Bags Factory.

EFI supplies its own cattle farms in Al Ain, which house 7,000 cows and produce about 40 million litres of milk per year. Part of the milk is processed into dairy products at the National Dairy Farm, completing a domestic production cycle.
