RAS AL KHAIMAH, 21st May 2025 (WAM) -- The Emirates Charitable Association has announced the launch of its Eid al-Adha campaign for the year 1446 AH / 2025, aiming to create a meaningful humanitarian impact both within the UAE and abroad during the most sacred days of the Islamic calendar.
The campaign embodies the UAE community’s deeply rooted values of solidarity and generosity.
A key initiative this year is Eid al-Adha Sacrificial Meat Programme abroad, through which a sacrificial animal can be donated for AED350. The association plans to distribute 1,200 sacrifices in countries with pressing humanitarian needs, ensuring that thousands of underprivileged families receive meat during Eid.
The association also offers the opportunity to perform Hajj on behalf of loved ones who are ill, unable, or deceased, in collaboration with trusted agents. This service is available for AED3,000.
Through its Eid Clothing programme, the association seeks to bring joy to orphans and needy families within the UAE by providing them with new clothes, reflecting the spirit of compassion and festivity during the blessed days of Eid.
A special campaign titled "Wa Layalin 'Ashr" (Ten Blessed Nights) will run throughout the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah, featuring ten distinct humanitarian initiatives. Each day will spotlight a different charitable programme targeting various community segments, both locally and internationally.
These programmes encompass support for needy families, mosque construction, medical assistance for the ill, education for orphans, and support for people of determination.
Abdullah Saeed Al Tunaiji, Secretary-General of the Association, stated that the “Ten Blessed Nights” initiative is a practical reflection of the solidarity and compassion that underpin the UAE's society.
He emphasised that the campaign’s programmes have been carefully designed to reach the broadest range of those in need, both at home and abroad.
