NEW DELHI, 18th June, 2025 (WAM) -- At least 27 people have died since last Monday due to heavy rainfall linked to the monsoon season in the north-western Indian state of Gujarat.
The state authorities have deployed emergency response teams to assist affected residents. The cities of Palitana and Jesar were reported to be among the worst hit, each recording 867 millimetres of rainfall within 24 hours.
