WASHINGTON, 13th August, 2026 (WAM) -- Three people were killed in the US states of Indiana and Ohio as severe storms swept across the Midwest.
Strong winds exceeding 80 miles per hour uprooted trees and brought down power lines, leaving around one million people without electricity.
A state of emergency was declared following widespread flooding, while flash flood warnings remain in effect for around 16 million people across the region as severe storms continue to batter the Midwest.
