AJMAN, 22nd August, 2026 (WAM) -- Ajman Summer 2026 has concluded its seventh edition after five weeks of activities, reaching 10,242 beneficiaries and exceeding its target of 9,206 by 11.2 percent.
A total of 8,812 participants registered through the programme's system, while 338 activities and programmes were delivered across summer centres and various tracks.
The seventh edition featured sporting, scientific, cultural, community and voluntary programmes, as well as competitions and activities delivered in cooperation with government and private entities, offering participants opportunities for learning, skills development, entertainment and teamwork.
The Boys' Summer Centre benefited 504 participants through seven activities, while the Girls' Summer Centre attracted 805 beneficiaries through 117 activities.
The Scientific Summer Centre recorded 373 beneficiaries through five activities against a target of 120, achieving 310.8 percent of its target. The Cultural Summer Centre reached 965 beneficiaries through 31 activities, exceeding its target of 885.
Community programmes for senior citizens benefited 968 participants through 20 activities, achieving 153.6 percent of the target.
Programmes delivered by government and private entities recorded the highest participation, reaching 5,746 beneficiaries through 122 activities against a target of 5,008, achieving 114.7 percent.
Voluntary programmes benefited 595 participants through 15 activities, while the Sports Centre for People of Determination recorded 102 beneficiaries through four activities. Competitions and recreational programmes attracted 358 beneficiaries through 17 activities, achieving 119.3 percent of their target.
Over the five weeks, Ajman Summer 2026 provided participants with opportunities to acquire knowledge, develop skills, discover talents and strengthen the values of innovation, volunteering and social responsibility.
Ahmed Al Raeesi, Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee for Ajman Summer 2026, said the results reflect the initiative's continued success and strong community engagement.
He said, "We are proud of what the seventh edition of Ajman Summer has achieved, not only in terms of figures and surpassing targets, but also in the positive impact it has had on participants and the opportunities it has provided for learning, skills development, talent discovery and the purposeful use of leisure time."
He added that the success resulted from the combined efforts of working teams, government and private entities, partners and volunteers, alongside the strong participation of families and community members.
The conclusion of the seventh edition further consolidates Ajman Summer as a community initiative aimed at developing a more aware, creative generation connected to its national identity through learning, creativity and community participation.
