GDRFA Dubai, SAS to advance government services

DUBAI, 24th August, 2026 (WAM) -- The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) conducted a working visit to SAS, a global leader in digital solutions and data analytics, to explore the next generation of digital technologies, particularly Agentic AI, and identify opportunities to leverage them in enhancing government services, improving operational efficiency, and enabling faster, more accurate decision-making.

The visit aligns with the objectives of the Dubai Annual Plan for Accelerating the Adoption of Artificial Intelligence Applications, as well as the Dubai Digital Strategy.

It included a specialised workshop on Agentic AI, which is capable of understanding objectives, planning tasks, interacting with systems and data, and executing multi-step processes within defined governance, security and human oversight frameworks.

During the visit, the GDRFA Dubai delegation reviewed a range of advanced digital applications and solutions, including AI-powered drones for maritime rescue operations, real-time passenger flow analytics within airports, digital twin technologies for simulating operational scenarios, intelligent knowledge bases, and advanced monitoring and analytics tools.

These technologies open new opportunities to optimise operational performance, strengthen border management, and enhance the efficiency of passenger movement and travel experiences.

Colonel Expert Khalid Ahmed bin Madia Al Falasi, Director General Assistant for Digital Services, said that digital transformation is no longer limited to adopting emerging technologies but has evolved into an institutional approach focused on modernising government operations, improving operational efficiency, and anticipating future needs, in line with Dubai’s vision of building a more agile and innovative government.

He added, “We are committed to building strategic partnerships with leading global companies to explore promising digital solutions and transform them into practical applications driven by real operational needs. This contributes to enhancing government services, enabling faster and more accurate decision-making, and reinforcing GDRFA Dubai’s readiness to continue delivering world-class government services.”
