ABU DHABI, 24th August, 2026 (WAM) -- Tadweer Group is set to make its first participation at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) 2026 as an exhibitor and sector sponsor, taking place from 28th August to 6th September at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.
As sponsor of the “Environmental Conservation and Cultural Heritage” sector, Tadweer Group will present its “Legacy of Sustainability” experience, highlighting the deep-rooted values of environmental responsibility and mindful resource use embedded in Emirati heritage, while encouraging communities to carry these values forward through everyday practices.
For this edition, Tadweer Group is joined by ne’ma, the UAE’s National Food Loss and Waste Initiative, which brings together actors across the food value chain to drive collective action to reduce food loss and waste, complementing the Group’s circular economy objectives.
Etienne Petit, Chief Executive Officer of Tadweer Group, said, “Our participation in ADIHEX 2026 connects the UAE’s enduring heritage of environmental stewardship and responsible resource use with its sustainability ambitions for the future. Together with ne’ma, we aim to raise awareness of food loss and waste, alongside our broader focus on green waste and responsible resource management, turning awareness into action and empowering communities to help shape a more sustainable future.”
Throughout the exhibition, Tadweer Group will deliver a programme of interactive workshops, storytelling sessions and awareness experiences designed for families, young people and the wider community.
Working with ne’ma, these activities will encourage visitors to consider how everyday choices can help reduce food waste and support more sustainable use of resources.
ne'ma's participation will include an Innovative Solutions Showcase highlighting practical approaches to circularity, and demonstrating how food loss and waste can be reduced and resources conserved.
Each participating company integrates sustainable practices into its products and operations, turning awareness into action and waste into value.
Khuloud Hassan Al Nuwais, Chief Sustainability Officer of Emirates Foundation and ne'ma Committee Secretary General, said, “Food loss and waste cost the global economy $1 trillion annually, and reducing both is a top priority under the UAE National Food Security Strategy 2051. Achieving this goal requires greater community awareness and responsible consumption. Our collaboration with Tadweer Group at ADIHEX gives us a platform to engage with the public in a setting of strong cultural resonance, reconnecting them with the deeply rooted Emirati values of mindfulness, gratitude and respect for food as a blessing.”
The “Our Heritage is Sustainable” workshop will invite visitors to decorate reusable bags and traditional Al Jafeer baskets using recyclable materials inspired by Emirati heritage.
Children will also take part in storytelling sessions inspired by the vision and legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, introducing concepts of environmental responsibility, sustainability and responsible waste management in an engaging and accessible way.
Tadweer Group’s participation at ADIHEX forms part of its wider commitment to strengthening environmental awareness and encouraging responsible resource use across the community. These efforts support the Group’s ambition to divert 80% of Abu Dhabi’s municipal solid waste away from landfill by 2031.
By participating in one of Abu Dhabi’s foremost cultural and community exhibitions, Tadweer Group aims to demonstrate that the principles of the circular economy are not new to the UAE. They are rooted in a heritage that has long recognised the value of resources and the importance of preserving them for future generations.
