Fossil exhibition to be inaugurated on Saturday 26th
The exhibition, in the EAD headquarters, includes remains of elephants, crocodiles, gazelles, turtles, horses and other animals that lived in Abu Dhabi during the Late Miocene period, around eight million years ago.
The display has been organised with support from the Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations, ADCO, Takreer and BP, and with technical help from the Taxidermy Unit of the Private Department of HH the President.
Well-known in scientific circles, the fossils are of international importance, but have never before been shown to the public.
