UAE and Botswana establish diplomatic relations
Abu Dhabi, Apr. 28th, 2006 (WAM)---United Arab Emirates and Botswana decided to establish diplomatic relations and exchange ambassadors as from today.

A joint statement which was signed today in Pretoria by Ismael Obaid Al Ali, UAE Ambassador to South Africa, and Botswanian Ambassador to South Africa, said the decision was based on a common desire to enhance relations between the two countries in all areas.

So far, the UAE has full diplomatic relations with 148 countries, including Botswana, out of a total of 192 countries.
