Mohammed issues resolution on services committee
Abu Dhabi, May 7,2006 (WAM) -- General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai has issued in his capacity as Prime Minister resolution No (15) for 2006 amending some provisons of cabinet resolution No (9) for 2006 on the ministerial committee for services.

The resolution changed the name of the committee with the Ministerial Council for Services.

The resolution said that the Council will follow up execution of the general policy of the government, review reports on progress of work in government ministries and departments, and take appropriate decisions to improve public services to nationals in education, health, housing, roads, water, electricity and communications.

It will also oversee laws,legislations and orders on issues referred to it by the President or the Prime Minister or the cabinet.

The resolution went into affect as of 27 March 2006.

It will be published in the gazette.
