UAQ Ruler allocates land for Rehabilitation Centre for the disabled
WAM Umm Al Qaiwain, Jul 22nd, 2010 (WAM) -- Acting upon a generous gesture from H.H Sheikh Saud Bin Rashid Al Mualla, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, the government of UAQ has allocated a plot of land for the construction of a centre in the emirate for the rehabilitation of disabled children.

The center works to provide all the services, including special educational, therapeutic, rehabilitation and support services, physiotherapy, functional and cognitive training for all children in need of such services.

Executive Director of Social Welfare at Ministry of Social Affairs Hussein al-Sheikh hailed the kind gesture of the Ruler and asserted that the Centre will provide all necessary services to rehabilitate children with disability.

He noted that Minister of Social Affairs Maryam Mohammed Khalfan Al Roumi had earlier presented to the Ruler the idea of the Rehabilitation Centre, which he readily accepted and ordered the allocation of the land.
