UAE and Saint Lucia to establish diplomatic relations
WAM Abu Dhabi, Nov 29th, 2010 (WAM) -- Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash received today Stephenson King, Prime Minister of Saint Lucia island in the Caribbean Sea and the delegation accompanying him.

During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of promoting them.

They also signed a joint statement on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Governments of the United Arab Emirates and St. Lucia at ambassadorial level.

The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Tariq Ahmed Al Haidan, Assistant to Foreign Minister for Political Affairs and other officials.
