Khalifa restructures Supreme Petroleum Council, names ADNOC Director
Abu Dhabi, 25 June 2011 (WAM) - President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan ha issued, in his capacity as the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, two Amiri decrees on restructuring the Supreme Petroleum Council (SPC) and the appointment of a Director General for Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).

According to the first decree, the SPC shall be chaired by His highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Other members include H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, General H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Hamad Al Hurr Al Suwaidi, Mohammed Habroush Al Suwaidi, Jawan Salem Al Dhaheri (who shall also act as the Council's Secretary General), Abdullah Nasser Al Suwaidi and Khalifa Mohammed Al Kindi.

In the second decree, Sheikh Khalifa appointed SPC member Abdullah Nasser Al Suwaidi as ADNOC's Director General.
