ABU DHABI, 3rd May 2014 (WAM) - Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development attended today a ceremony hosted by the Indian Islamic Centre - Abu Dhabi to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
Sheikh Nahyan said in a speech at the ceremony that the centre, built 40 years ago thanks to a gesture by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, reflected the strong ties between the UAE and India who share commitment to peace, stability and prosperity in the world.
He praised the role being played by the centre in the fields of cuture, education and social affairs. He also lauded the industrial progress witnessed in India.
