ABU DHABI, 3rd January, 2016 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, has congratulated Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on his 10th accession anniversary, which falls tomorrow.
In his statement on the occasion, he said, ''January 4th, which marks the anniversary of the accession day of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid as the Ruler of Dubai, Member of the Supreme Council, UAE's Vice President and Prime Minister, represents a precious occasion dear to the hearts of all Emiratis and expatriates."
Sheikh Omar noted that this day is a shining point in the march of the UAE and represents a 10 years of growth and unlimited development. He added that since his accession day and being the Prime Minister of the UAE, the country in general and Dubai in particular, has accomplished a lot of achievements in various domains, thanks to his adoption of a number of pioneering initiatives in the economic and social development fields such as, the launch of the e-Government and Dubai Metro and establishment of a number of investment companies in all walks of life. "These reflect his international vision that takes into consideration the latest developments and helps translate his vision," he said.
He also praised the attention that Sheikh Mohammed pays to improve work performance and the efforts he exerts to provide various government services. He added that the government aims to make both Emiratis and expatriates happy.
He pointed out Sheikh Mohammed's attention to the Federal National Council (FNC), which reflects the will of Emiratis and is one of the tools that has contributed to building an overall national work programme and increased political participation.
Sheikh Omar also noted that the FNC has the potential to safeguard the cultural achievements and gains as well as to enhance the federal march, started and carried out by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the late Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Supreme Council Members, Their Highnesses Rulers of the Emirates.
