Mohamed bin Zayed, British PM discuss friendship, co-operation -Final Add

LONDON, 23rd February, 2017 (WAM) -- His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has discussed with Theresa May, the British Prime Minister, friendship and co-operation, and ways to strengthen them.

This came when the British Prime Minister received the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the accompanying delegation at 10 Downing Street in London on Thursday. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed is on a working visit to Britain.

Theresa May welcomed Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and praised the historical friendship that links the two countries. She underlined the British government's keenness to develop these relations to serve the common interests of the two parties.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed expressed his satisfaction at visiting the United Kingdom to meet with Prime Minister Theresa May, stressing the durability and depth of the historical ties between the two countries, and the two friendly peoples.

The two parties reviewed the cooperation and coordination within the framework of the keenness of leaders of the two countries to enhance this cooperation to wider horizons.

They also tackled a number of the latest regional and international developments, and exchanged views on them.

The two parties emphasised that the UAE and the United Kingdom would continue their joint efforts through coordination, consultation and cooperation on issues of concern to promote peace, security and stability in the region and the world.

The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, and a number of British officials.
