Jordan condemns Sinai terrorist attack

AMMAN, 26th February, 2017 (WAM) -- Jordan yesterday denounced the attack that left 7 people dead after they were targeted by a terrorist group in Al-Arish city in the Sinai Province on Friday.

Petra News Agency quoted Jordanian State Minister for Media Affairs, Mohammad Momani, as saying that such criminal attacks, perpetrated by terrorist groups, are designed to destabilise the region and trigger chaos.

Mr. Momani, who is also a Government spokesperson, renewed Jordan's call for a holistic international strategy to counter and eradicate terrorism.

The minister reiterated Jordan's solidarity with Egypt at these times, and extended condolences to the Egyptian government and the families of the victims.
