DUBAI, 12th November, 2017 (WAM) -- Hundred bright Arab young minds from 19 countries will start on Monday 13 November, a three-day extensive media training programme to develop their professional capacities.
The Arab Youth Center said the Young Arab Media Leaders Programme seeks to generate a group of media professionals and influencers capable of building a positive, integrated media sector that is responsive to future challenges and transformations. Participants will engage in a series of training workshops, lectures discussion circles and seminars in addition field visits to a number of major media institutions.
Shamma bint Suhail Faris Al Mazrui, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, said,''The Programme is important as media plays a crucial role in shaping thoughts and attitudes of youth. The Programme will provide talented youth with skills required to present a positive media image about them to the world.'' As studies showed that 64 percent of social media users in the Arab World are young population under 30 years, Al Mazrui noted the programme will train participants on the best methods to harness social media platforms to create an accurate, informative and transparent media content about their life and attitudes.
The Arab Youth Center was launched by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs during the World Government Summit 2017 with a vision to prepare Arab youth to create a global model for building nations and sustainable development.
