ABU DHABI, 4th April, 2018 (WAM) -- The Abu Dhabi Police is taking part in a scientific forum on "Nuclear Security" in Riyadh. The forum, which will be concluded on Thursday, is organised by the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, International Atomic Energy Agency, IAEA, and the Arab Atomic Energy Agency, AAEA.
Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Nasser Al Kindy, Head of the Crisis and Disasters Department at Abu Dhabi Police and head of the visiting delegation, underscored the importance of the forum in enhancing nuclear security, assessing nuclear threats and how to prevent them, promoting knowledge and awareness on international nuclear legislation and agreements.
He also said that the forum aims to highlight international and Arab efforts in the field of nuclear security and in raising awareness on the use of biological, chemical and nuclear materials in their incorrect framework.
The delegation included a number of emergency, public safety, crisis and disaster management officers at the Abu Dhabi Police Directorate General of Central Operations.
