Chief of Staff attends 'Jazeera Shield' joint exercise in Saudi Arabia

DAMMAM, SAUDI ARABIA, 9th March, 2019 (WAM) - Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, today, attended the final day of the 10th Jazeera Shield joint military exercise, which was held at Samit Track in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

Also present were Chiefs of Staff of the GCC countries, military attaches and senior officials.

The drill witnessed participation of the Saudi Armed Forces, in addition to security sectors, as well as land, air and naval forces from the GCC countries.

Commenting on the drill, as it concluded the fourth and last stage of the exercises, the Spokesman of the Joint Drill, Brig. Gen. Abdullah Hussein Al-Sibaiei, pointed out that the last stage had been conducted with live ammunition, as it is significantly and greatly sophisticated, falling in line with the wider strategic and comprehensive vision of defending the kingdom and keeping in mind regional as well as world security and stability.
