Abu Dhabi Municipality constructs four new pocket parks in Shakhbout City

ABU DHABI, 17th November, 2020 (WAM) -- The Abu Dhabi Municipality constructed four new pocket parks in Shakhbout City on a total area of 24,575-square metres, costing AED15.388 million.

The construction of the parks is part of the municipality’s commitment to making residents happy and providing service and entertainment facilities that improve quality of life, in implementation of the directives of the Abu Dhabi Government to offer citizens, residents and visitors of the city of Abu Dhabi and its suburbs comfort, stability and happiness.

The first park covers an area of 6,565-square metres, with the second covering 7,188-square metres, the third covering 4,257-square metres, and the fourth covering 6,565-square metres.

The municipality noted that the four parks, which were constructed in line with basin measurements MSH29, MSH19, MSH02 and MSH30, include children’s areas, barbeque spaces, greenery, trees, lighting, seats, irrigation, underground pumps, rubbish bins and information signs.
