ABU DHABI, 6th April, 2023 (WAM) – Al-Jundi journal issued by the UAE Ministry of Defence has published a special edition for the annual World Health Day on April 7, 2023, as part of its efforts to keep up with various global events and keenness to highlight the UAE’s special role and achievements in the field of health on the local and international levels.
Under the title "Health For All", this special edition included many exclusive articles by various UAE ministers and officials, in addition to topics that highlight the importance of the UAE’s role in advancing its health sector and shed light on its achievements, which went beyond the limits of the local level to extend to the world.
Under the title " The UAE ... Outstanding march in empowering Health For All", Al jundi journal said in its editorial: " Today, the UAE lives in light of rare successes and achievements in the health sector. Since its inception by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE has been paying great attention to human health in a manner commensurate with the various requirements and challenges. Furthermore, the UAE’s white hand extends to all the world’s people, providing them with support and access to health care”.
Moreover, Al Jundi added: “This international day, which bears the slogan Health for All, prompts us to recall with pride the great efforts and achievements our country has made and is still making to advance human health at the local and global levels, as international indicators clearly indicate the prestigious position that the country occupies in supporting the efforts of promoting public health”.
Al Jundi also stated: “Today, the UAE takes firm steps based on a clear strategy towards excellence and uniqueness in enabling health for all under a wise leadership that possesses unique forward-looking visions, led by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai”.
Under the title “Health in the UAE … A journey of excellence and giving” Al Jundi further highlighted in its special edition the qualitative leaps and achievements made by its health sector as well as the great humanitarian role the country played and is still playing in extending help and support to countries worldwide in the health sector, as the UAE follows a solid and consistent approach in providing various types of support and aid to brotherly and friendly countries on both the regional and global levels without discrimination.
In addition, Al-Jundi dedicated important sections of its special edition to telling the stories of the success and excellence of the Medical Services Corps at the Ministry of Defence at various levels.
Founded in 1973, Al Jundi's first issue was published in October, covering the news and activities of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates.
