Abu Dhabi, March 18, 2002 (WAM)--The governments of the UAE and Cuba have decided to establish diplomatic ties at ambassadors level as from today March 18, 2002. A statement issued today both in Abu Dhabi and Havana, said that the decision of establishing diplomatic relations came as part of the two countries joint keen desire to enhance and develop bilateral co-operation. After Cuba the UAE has now diplomatic ties with 145 countries. WAM-HM
