Abu Dhabi, May 2, 2003 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received here today at the Al Mushref Palace a large number of people who came to offer him condolences on the death of Sheikh Ahmed bin Mubarak bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, who died last night. They include sheikhs, ministers, senior officials, members of the diplomatic corps, UAE nationals and expatriates. Sheikh Khalifa received condolences from H.H. Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nu'aimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, Sheikh Khalid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nu'aimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Sheikh Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Deputy Ruler of Fujairah. He also received condolences from the Special Assistant to the Iranian President on Legal Affairs, Mohammed Al Abtahi, who is currently on a visit to the UAE. He was accompanied by Iranian Ambassador, Ali Reza Salari. They all expressed profound condolences to Sheikh Khalifa and prayed to Allah to grant the soul of the deceased perfect peace and his family the patience to bear the loss. --MORE-- WAM/SA
