Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work to honor volunteers
Sharjah, Dec. 10th, 2006 (WAM)---Winners the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work will be honored on December 20th. in a ceremony patronized by H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah and founder of the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work.

Volunteers, blood donors, voluntary agencies and non-govermental organizations -NGO's- who excelled in voluntary work will be presented with the prestigious award at the 4th annual ceremony of the Award.

"This year's winners of the Award include eight prominent UAE figures and two agencies who excelled locally and internationally in voluntary humanitarian and charity work" , said Dr. Humaid Al Qattami UAE Health Minister and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work.

"Six individuals will be presented with the Award for non-profit servicing mosques and the community as well as 8 volunteers who donated blood 20 to 50 times in recent years", said Head of Department of Blood Transfusion and Health Services at Health Ministry Amin Al Amiri.
