DUBAI, 29th July, 2019 (WAM) -- The Dubai Municipality participated in the European Model for Quality Management experience, EFQM Model 2020, organised by the European Foundation for Quality Management, which reflects the city's distinguished international standing.
Dawoud Al Hajri, Director-General of the Dubai Municipality, said, "The Dubai Municipality always strives to achieve the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to achieve global leadership for government organisations, excellence in the day-to-day business approach and to achieve the best international practices and requirements, which will help them better manage their services, implement their projects and digitise them, and be a cornerstone for realising the directives to be the world leader in implementing sustainability and innovation standards."
The municipality was selected as one of the first six organisations from within the UAE and 26 internationally to apply and evaluate the new European model for 2020. It also organised a workshop to discuss the quality model with leaders and experts of organisational units with the participation of a representative of the EFQM in the Middle East.
