NYU Abu Dhabi celebrates art with Open Studios 2019

ABU DHABI, 5th November, 2019 (WAM) -- New York University Abu Dhabi, NYUAD, will soon host Open Studios, the fifth annual interdisciplinary celebration of arts-themed around the concept of play.

Taking place on 11th November, from 6 - 9 pm at the Arts Centre at NYUAD, Open Studios will feature six workshops, 20 exhibitions, 19 performances, and 28 interactive happenings, said a press release issued by the university on Tuesday.

Organised by NYUAD’s Arts and Humanities Division, this event will provide audiences the opportunity to meet students and faculty working in visual arts, interactive media, music, film, and theater at NYUAD. It will also offer attendees a behind-the-scenes look at the university’s state-of-the-art studios, workshops, and labs.

Designed to enable creative thinking, audiences can become a sculpture, witness dance rehearsals and performances, solve a murder mystery on a film set, or watch a band being recorded.

The event is free to enter and is recommended for ages 14 and above.
