KHARTOUM, 7th April, 2022 (WAM) -- The President of Sudan's Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Gen. Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, has awarded Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) / Mother of the Nation, the Order of Distinction of First Class in recognition of her distinguished services to the brotherly Sudan.
Hamad Mohammed Al-Junaibi, UAE Ambassador to Sudan, received the honour and the medal on Her Highness’ behalf during a ceremony at the TSC President's Office today.
Ambassador Al-Junaibi expressed in a statement following the ceremony, the UAE leadership's gratitude to Gen. Al-Burhan for honouring H.H. Sheikha Fatima and the medal well deserved.
He affirmed that awarding the order to Sheikha Fatima underscores the strength of the relations that unite the United Arab Emirates and the brotherly Republic of Sudan and the appreciation of Sudan's government and people and their recognition of Her Highness’ distinguished services to Sudan.
